I will say this as a joke, but trust me, it is not meant to be. I am not laughing. I have never been so glad to be 73 years old and have diabetes. I received my Covid vaccine last week and I am so glad. I have never met a vaccine that I didn't like. Reminder - VOTE !!!! Your life might depend on it. Thank you.
Thanks again for providing this road map through an itinerary that previously was a well-marked route. And we know the obstacles were dumped in the road by Mad King Badwig and his henchmen.
His terrorist tactics are why Reynolds quivers in fear. But you knew that.
Your lead sentence in the top of your post, indicating Reynolds is not helping, underscores that politics, specifically, maga politics, is in charge of which, what, where and when any number of Iowans can obtain vaccinations. One battle after another.
And just in case anyone thinks COVID is a thing of the past...At my high school class reunion two weeks ago, 18 of us got COVID, including me. I was told about 70 attended the first night. Folks came from as distant ast New York and Alaska.
Thank you, Laura. There is very good information in here for people who are confused about the protocol surrounding COVID 19 vaccination choices. I think that would include most people in Iowa these days.
In recent weeks I requested a COVID booster from UIHC and was told they didn’t have it. I then when to downtown CVS in Iowa City and they gave me the vax within minutes.
I've heard from a lot of people that their local pharmacy doesn't have the shots in stock. It seems to be available at many places in the Des Moines area.
Thank you, Laura. As older Iowans, my wife and I have become accustomed over the past few years to just visiting our local Hy-Vee and getting booster shots whenever needed. From the sounds of it, that plan will still work. However, our Hy-Vee recently said they won’t know about Covid shots until November.
hm. you know, for real. I've had pneomonia 11 times. i know the inner fear. iowa health has saved my life(for real), yet we all want to be better, right?let citizens feel, just a small amount of decency and attention with action plan to share, to let us know you care. We'll know what to do after that.

Public health is a team sport. That's the way it works.
Reynolds and other Republicans are on the wrong team.

I know several people who have gotten COVID just in the past month.
Thanks for this reporting, Laura. It is indeed confusing, and needlessly so.
It's been overshadowed by so many other scandals, but it's an outrage that the FDA revoked the emergency use authorization for the COVID vaccines.
Thank you for asking about COVID vaccination availability. Her response to your second question was terrible.
Thanks for this information, Laura. I can always depend on your factual reporting.

It is certainly confusing!
Thanks for the deep reporting Laura.
Thanks for reading!
My husband and I got flu and Covid shots the same day from the smaller HyVee store/pharmacy in Burlington.

You mean they don't have any in stock? The Hy-Vee pharmacies in my area already have the new boosters.

The one hyvee I went to asked if I had one of the qualifying conditions but did not ask for any proof. We got prescriptions for our children.
Excellent reporting
