Thanks so much for this comprehensive look at Iowa politics. It is so very helpful! I moved to Iowa about 18 months ago and have been looking for ways to educate myself on issues, elected officials, candidates in order to be an informed voter. I appreciate all that you’re doing.
Much more compelling is need for state-mandated metro area municipal consolidation . . .suburban, exurban, core urban elements into one municipality broken into community-integrated neighborhoods. Address low-density development (sprawl) with all its unsustainability characteristics . . .
Nathan Sage, from Knoxville, impresses me. First impressions. Seems very articulate in a way that would sway working class folks. Ds can't win Iowa without a chunk of rural blue collar votes.
We have a deep bench, an embarrassment of rich talent. As has already been mentioned, we need to GOTV, especially since the Iowa GOP has been trying unrelentingly to prune voters (read Democrats) from the rolls.
