Thanks again, Laura. Well done. There is so much to keep track of these days.

I’ve noticed a big change in tone in Nunn’s constituent emails lately too. Right after the budget bill passed he was crowing about protecting the border. Then he got defensive about what’s actually in the bill. And his latest was about how much his office does for constituents, which is not something I remember seeing before.

I would guess their research shows people are not excited about this bill, so House Republicans have been told to emphasize other things.

I can't remember whether I've seen him talk about constituent service before. I would like to see real data behind the figures he cited in that email.

Of the various Democratic candidates for Governor, US Senate, US House, have any been making new voter registration a priority for their campaigns?

Does a lot of voter registration outreach happen at the Iowa state fair?

I am not aware of anyone making voter registration a priority. But there may be private discussions I don't know about.

Would you add “what is your campaign’s goal regarding new voter registrations?” to your interview questions?

I don't understand the Republican stance to stand behind Trump no matter how ridiculous,, how anti Constitution, anti American his ideas are. Hes detroying the Nation while the Republicans fiddle. I am greatly distressed by their anti education stance and now anti Press. It's a clear attempt to keep people uneducated and in line. The vote yesterday was a clear attack on public press and public broadcasting. Many tv and radio stations stand to be closed. Repuablicans just sit back and say yes-sir ; what ever you want sir, go ahead and turn our country into the cesspool of the modern world. Attack all guaranteed rights, take away personal freedoms, and not only feel free to attack your enemies with lies and bad press, go after them legally up to arrest, imprisonment or deportation. It can't be about who can raise the most money anymore; we have to pay attention to these candidates, who's supporting them, where the money is coming from and what they are not actually saying but imply. Zach Nunn was a promising state representative who often crossed party lines working for the people, but since he's been in Washington, he talks alot but much of it is bs and he does exactly what Trump tells him to do. Why anyone would listen to Trump's rambling, disconnected, insane ideas is beyond me; but it seems he's holding something over Washington politicians, using subliminal meassaging, brain washing or blackmail because they act like a bunch of Stepford wives with no mind of their own. It needs to end now!
