Hello all! Here’s an open thread for any questions or comments about the election results, in Iowa or nationally.
I’m going to be live on KHOI Radio with Dennis Hart from 9 to 10 pm, and again Wednesday from noon to 1 pm: link to livestream. I’ll check back here regularly tonight and tomorrow to respond to any questions.
Looks like a Republican sweep is in the works. Brenna Bird has pulled ahead of Tom Miller in the attorney general race, Roby Smith leading Mike Fitzgerald for state treasurer. Democrat Rob Sand still has a small lead in the state auditor race but not clear whether that will hold up, with Kim Reynolds winning the governor's race by around 20 points.
First of many posts about the election is up now: https://www.bleedingheartland.com/2022/11/09/lessons-of-2022-iowas-a-red-state-for-now/
Thanks Laura.

I think you are right. I'm just hoping to read it all. thanks
thanks. will the discussion be archived?
I confess I don't know what archiving is on Substack! I thought that like other posts, it would remain visible to people who visit the page.
Thanks, Laura!
