Thanks for this excellent reporting. As a father of daughters, I am aghast at these policy changes. And as a working-class kid from a religious family, I know that the impact of trapping women in poverty or in cultural environments that shame them will be felt for generations.
Thank you for making us aware of the govenor's mess with women's health care among many other failures to the people of Iowa.
As a nurse I knew that taking Planned Parenthood out of healthcare as the largest provider would mean a huge loss in healthcare for large numbers - so it has and no one cares. One no one cared about was the kinds of care PP provided - abortion was only one type. I always went there because of the wonderful available care and never had an abortion!!! Nor have I established other care, which of course I must. How many others like myself are out there? Huge numbers, and most don't have the funds that I have to do it. The GOP has done the same thing to women's healthcare they have done to EVERY OTHER PART OF GOVERNMENT: placed in chaos or eradicated it!!! What an uncalled for mess!!! No one that voted even cared to listen when the warnings were given. Trump, et alls plan!!!!
