Just listened to your discussion with Dennis Hart. I learned a lot. The projection that Franken has only a million dollars of cash on hand surprised me. Also your discussion of Ann Selzer clarified for me why her poll is so important. I just found another one of Franken’s ads (attacking Grassley on ag issues). That’s two moderately tough attacks, one on abortion and one on ag policy). This makes me feel better. I’ve always said I’m not a political media person. My instincts are to hit Grassley harder but I quickly concede that Franken’s media people know much more than I do about this than I do. I just hope they are relentless on the attacks. I was also surprised and disappointed that Bohannan is going to be seriously outspent. Very informative discussion. You and Mr. Hart make a great team. Thank you!
To be more precise, Franken's campaign reported $1,337,042.88 cash on hand as of September 30. Clearly they have been raising money every day since then. But they are also spending a lot on tv and digital ads.
On Monday the Franken campaign said in a news release that they had raised more than $200,000 since the Des Moines Register published the poll numbers.
