Look for Ernst and Hinson to utter a variation on the modern version of Niemöller's poem -

"We didn't think President Trump (bless his holy name!) would deport ALL of these immigrants!", cried Ernst and Hinson after they urged Iowans to vote for the Proud to Ignorantly Deport Millions President.

As I mentioned during the show, this is a big advantage for Trump: he gets the votes of people who actually want to deport 10 million people, and he gets the votes of people who don't think he is serious about deporting 10 million people.

It looks like Ernst will spend another six unproductive years representing the people of Iowa. It seems like she will, from her interviews and statements, be Trumps and Musks lap dog.

I've attempted to tell Bleeding Heartland about its errors regarding Elizabeth Dupuich (judge), but the website is all messed up like an amateur did it and failed to check the links.

I don't know what "errors" you are talking about. I have only mentioned that judge in one post, where I accurately noted her rating on the bar association's 2024 Judicial Performance Review.

https://www.bleedingheartland.com/2024/10/17/highest-and-lowest-rated-judges-on-iowas-2024-ballot/

Are you saying you disagree with the rating?

Yes it is. This rating is not inaccurate per se based on the source you chose. However, it fails to consider plaintiffs and defendants. It only considers attorneys who want to curry favor with judges. So, everyone -- essentially -- is roses. Since this is my second reply to the one that did not "go through" originally, here's my original reply:

I atrempted to leave a comment, but the system prompted me for username/password. No big deal there.

However, I could not create a username/password to leave a comment.

We can talk about it tomorrow. My phone number is 773.793.4857.

This accurately reporting is simply based on 2024 Judicial Performance Review from the bar association. I do not doubt these results or your reporting on them. However, my experience with Dupuich is very different and I believe she was purposefully biased in my case. I am more than willing to give you my experience over the phone or in person.

Laura Belin simply relies on the Bar Association (made up of lawyers) for "accurate reporting" instead of speaking to plaintiffs or defendants.

Did you attempt to create a Bleeding Heartland user account? I did not see any account created by you but let me know if you would like to be able to comment on the site. To reduce spam I have to activate accounts created by users.

I would like it noted that Laura Belin has not reached out to me...even after I gave her my phone number on a public platform. Plus, she has not acknowledged her only source for accurate reporting is the IA Bar Assn whose members want to curry favor with judges instead of holding judges accountable. So, that award is questionable. Speak to those harmed by Judge Elizabeth Dupuich who harbors animosity towards plaintiffs and defendants. BTW, Judge Dupuich's makeup is not applied well and needs an upgrade.

Paige, I spent much of today in an emergency veterinary clinic with my dog. So I did not have time to call you.

I don't doubt that you have had a bad experience with this judge. It's not possible for me to speak individually to all of the people who have had cases before all of the judges in Iowa. If you want to write a guest commentary about your experience with this judge, I would consider it for publication.

Other political journalists have been trying to assess the senate’s resilience, its ability to protect the nation from Trump’s worst ideas. They have been sorting senators into MAGA and not-MAGA. Should we conclude that Ernst is MAGA?

Ernst and Grassley never stood up to Trump before and they are not going to start now.

I think Marc Elias had it right when he said most of the Senate are "scared MAGA" rather than "proud MAGA."

I would put Ernst and Grassley in that "scared MAGA" category.
