None. When Trump's tariffs wrecked the farmers during his first term, Chuck Grassley funneled tax dollars in the form of subsidies to make most of the larger farmers whole, some having their best year while other, smaller family farms went broke.

Ag Cmte Ds must devise a "filter" so that all serious farm bill proposals are immediately analyzed to determine impact on farm sector production models.

Does proposal incentivize diversified, eco-friendly owner-operator models or vertically-integrated factory farm models?

Jay Howe's comments caught my attention, because I just posted (re-posted) a summer substack of mine on working class in America, updated with today's NYT column by Brooks (working class get no respect) and separate comments by Sen. Bernie Sander. Then your reply piqued my attention. I would look forward to your thoughts on what may have decided this election, if not issues.

We, America, may be in new waters with tariffs. I've always favored free trade but I'm afraid there is no such thing. The cry for good jobs has quite heavily been affected from America's past consumption for cheaper foreign made goods than produced here and higher wages and more benefits in manufacturing sector. Can't have both.
